Product catalog summary
Specifications and Adjustments:
The slit lamp tower should be moved 10 to 12 degrees away from the center. An I.R. heat-absorption filter should be selected, and the height of slit illumination adjusted. The magnification selector, joystick, and centering knob are used to achieve an artifact-free image with good color saturation. Slit beam width can be adjusted for wide peripheral illumination for fundus observation or narrow slit illumination for observing topographical changes such as optic nerve heads, tumors, detachments, and depressions.
Distance Measurements:
For 78D lenses, the distance to the lens edge is 110 mm and to the corneal apex is 128 mm. For 90D lenses, these distances are 109 mm and 124 mm, respectively.
Cleaning and Sterilization Procedures:
Clean lenses with alcohol. Disinfect by placing the lens in 2% glutaraldehyde for 25 minutes or in a diluted sodium hypochlorite solution (10:1 ratio) for 25 minutes. Sterilize using ethylene oxide gas and aerate at 50°C to 60°C. Do not use autoclave, boiling, or plasma sterilization methods.
Lens Specifications:
The Righton 78D and 90D lenses are designed for use with slit lamps, providing hassle-free fundus and vitreous imaging. The lenses feature an aplanat design for even illumination and low aberration, multilayer coatings to reduce reflections, and easy-to-hold frames. The 14D and 20D lenses offer excellent working distances and wider fields of view.
Warnings and Recommendations:
Ensure correct usage by reading all manuals carefully. Specifications and equipment are subject to change without notice. The height of the slit beam should not exceed the patient's pupillary dilation.
