KAPA Taq PCR Kits

KAPA Taq PCR Kits

KAPA Taq PCR Kits

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides an overview of KAPA Taq PCR Kits, highlighting their high quality and performance for routine PCR applications. These kits are based on the Taq DNA polymerase from Thermus aquaticus and are suitable for standard PCR, DNA labeling, and sequencing.
Specifications: KAPA Taq DNA Polymerase features 5' to 3' polymerase and exonuclease activities but lacks 3' to 5' exonuclease activity, resulting in an error rate of approximately 1 error per 220,000 nucleotides.
Performance: The kits offer improved sensitivity, specificity, and yields due to a novel buffer formulation that enhances primer annealing. Figures in the document demonstrate the superior performance of KAPA Taq HotStart compared to competitors.
Applications: The kits are ideal for various applications requiring a high-quality, thermostable DNA polymerase.
Ordering Information: The document lists various KAPA Taq PCR Kit configurations, including options with or without dNTPs and dye, available in different unit sizes.
Legal and Trademark Information: The document notes that KAPA is a trademark of Roche, and all other trademarks are owned by their respective owners.

KAPA Taq PCR Kits-1

Portfolio Overview High quality and performance for routine PCR KAPA Taq DNA Polymerase is based on the single-subunit, wild-type Taq DNA polymerase of the thermophilic bacterium Thermus aquaticus. KAPA Taq and KAPA Taq HotStart DNA Polymerase have 5'g3' polymerase and 5'g3' exonuclease activities, but no 3'g5' exonuclease (proofreading) activity. The enzyme has an error rate of approximately 1 error per 2.2 x 105 nucleotides incorporated. Kits are ideally suited for: • standard PCR • DNA labelling • DNA sequencing • numerous applications for which a high-quality, thermostable DNA polymerase is required High performance • Improved sensitivity, specificity, and yields • Novel buffer formulation facilitates specific primer annealing, leading to higher yield of specific product KAPA Taq HotStart Figure 1. Improved sensitivity, specificity, and yield. A 500 bp fragment of the CCR5 gene was amplified using 100 ng, 10 ng, 1 ng, or 100 pg of human genomic DNA as template. KAPA Taq HotStart exhibits improved sensitivity, specificity, and yield when compared with competitive HotStart products. All reactions were performed using the manufacturer recommended protocols.
