Product catalog summary
Prerequisites: Before starting the procedure, ensure the tear is identified and the implant packaging is fully opened. Use the meniscus rasp to create a bleeding surface and the MENIX® probe to determine the insertion depth.
Insertion Procedure: Insert the MENIX® portal skid through the portal and position it under the condyle of the compartment with the tear. Advance the MENIX® Duo system along the portal skid and remove the skid. The device can be bent up to 35° if necessary.
Anchor Insertion: For the first anchor, retract the button, push it slightly to expose the pin tip, and select the entry point. Advance to the desired depth, noting the marks at 17 mm and 22 mm from the pin tip. For the second anchor, ensure the entry point is 5 mm away from the first, and follow a similar procedure.
Tensioning and Evaluation: Tension the repair by alternately pulling the sutures and apply counterpressure with the probe. Cut the suture tails using a vertical insertion of the suture cutter. Evaluate the repair and use additional anchors if necessary.
MENIX® Duo Characteristics: The system includes options with one or two anchors and various suture tapes. Additional non-absorbable sutures are recommended for repair.
Instrumentation: The complete set includes a suture cutter, portal skid, knot pusher, arthroscopic probe, twister, rasp, and scissors. These are reusable and classified as class I medical devices.
Manufacturer Information: The MENIX® and MENIX® Duo are class IIb medical devices manufactured by S.B.M. SAS, located in Lourdes, France. The HS FIBER sutures are also class IIb, manufactured by RIVERPOINT and distributed by S.B.M. SAS.
