PREREQUISITES Incision. Assess the type of shoulder injury. Arthroscopic evaluation. Clean the humeral head with a shaver. Drill a pilot-hole with the punch tap corresponding to the anchor size (punch tap 4.5 for anchor Ø 4.5; 5.5 for anchor Ø 5.5 and 6.5) then tap until the mark is inserted inside the bone. Note: When the bone is dense, tap successively several times to properly shape the pilot-hole. Remove the punch tap and insert a FIXIT® anchor up to the mark. Two Unlock the sutures from the screwdriver handle and pull out the screwdriver slowly. The sutures are now free. vertical marks are...

With the punch tap corresponding to the anchor size, mallet until the 1st thread on the punch tap is flush with the bone surface then tap until the laser mark is inserted inside the bone. Create a medial anchoring row by using two FIXIT® anchors. Pass the sutures through the cuff and tie knots. Note: When the bone is dense, tap successively several times to properly shape the pilot-hole. PREPARE THE FIXIT® KNOTLESS SCREWDRIVER Metal T-handle Handle Remove the anchor from the implant holder and place it on the FIXIT® Knotless screwdriver. INITIAL ANCHOR INSERTION - TENSIONING THE SUTURES 2 While maintaining the same angle of insertion as the pilot-hole, push the nose of the anchor in the pilot-hole, then screw the implant a quarter of a turn by turning the screwdriver handle clockwise. Pass the screwdriver carrying the anchor through the lateral portal and position the anchor facing the pilot hole. FINALIZING THE INSERTION OF THE ANCHOR Finalize the insertion of the anchor by screwing in up to the mark, while maintaining the metal T-handle still and applying a pushing force on it. Careful : Apply maximum tension at that point,...
