Product catalog summary
Overview: The document discusses the SPECTRA High Resolution system by scanware electronic GmbH, designed for quality control of contraceptive blister packs. It addresses challenges posed by the small size and varied shapes and colors of contraceptives.
Specifications: The system uses multiple 3CMOS cameras for high accuracy and color separation, supported by a water-cooling system to prevent color aberrations. It provides resolutions of 2, 5, or 12 megapixels and is applicable for post-seal inspection.
Area of Application: The system is suitable for blisters containing various colors and shapes, including uncommon geometries like dialpacks and special shapes such as angular tablets.
Highlights: The system can inspect various products and shapes within the same blister, detect small differences in color and shape, and recognize all blister geometries. It is compliant with 21 CFR Part 11 and features a modular build, real-time operating system, and easy installation on common packaging machinery.
Inspection Criteria: The system evaluates presence, size, color, shape, perimeter, broken products, overfilling, and consecutive errors.
Quality and Evaluation: The system's algorithms allow for precise shape recognition and color differentiation, even for minimal differences. It is format-independent, allowing inspection of various blister geometries and combinations of products and foils.
Additional Features: The system offers a uniform graphical interface, expandable hardware and software, and communication via VDMAXML_P or OPC UA protocol. It includes statistical tools and guarantees part availability for 10 years, with support solutions available within 24 hours.

Contraceptives (HR)-1

BLISTER & PRODUCT INSPECTION SPECTRA Contraceptives (HR) ¢ Description Contraceptives pose a distinct challenge to vision systems due to their small size and often, different products, ordered by intake week, are placed in one blister. Utlilising SPECTRA High Resolution with its designated algorithms enables secure quality control for these products. For high accuracy even with large foil widths, scanware uses multiple camera systems with 3CMOS cameras. To cancel colour aberrations caused by camera heat, a water-cooling system is installed with the cameras. To outbalance colour disparities due to camera tolerances, the system operates with separate colour informations for each camera. This enables the user to work on a single, rectified image. ¢ Area of Application Applicable contraceptives: Inspection criteria: ▪ Various colours in one blister ▪ Various shapes within the same blister ▪ Uncommon blister shapes like dialpacks ▪ Special shapes, i.e. angular tablets with rounded edges, d-shapes or triangles ¢ Highlights ▪ Inspection of various products and shapes in same blister possible ▪ Detection of smallest differences in colour and shape ▪ All blister geometries can be recognised ▪ Multi-camera solutions for challenging applications ▪ Applicable for post-seal inspection ▪ Resolutions of 2, 5 or 12 megapixels ▪ Utilisation of 3CMOS-came

¢ Evaluation Examples Contraceptive with four different tablet types The system software of SPECTRA High Resolution is equipped with improved algorithms for shape recognition. Thus, different products in the same blister as well as products with minimal differences in shape can be safely inspected. Contraceptive with minimal differences in product colours The colour separation power of the system enables the detection of minimal colour differences that can hardly be detected by the naked eye. Different colours within one blister can be distinguished securely. No other system can offer this level of...
