Specifications
The ATR-L Refractometer is designed for automatic dispersion measurement with a refractive index (RI) measuring range of 1.33200 - 1.70000 RI and 100% Brix. It offers a resolution of 0.00001 RI and 0.01 Brix, with precision and reproducibility of ± 0.00004 RI and ± 0.03 Brix. The measuring time per sample is 20 seconds for all 7 wavelengths after temperature stabilization. The device operates within an ambient temperature range of +15°C to +40°C and features automatic temperature compensation with a solid-state Peltier-thermostatisation system.

Technical Features
The refractometer uses a CCD-linear array detector with 2048 elements and a sample compartment made from stainless steel, Black Delrin®, Teflon®, Viton®, and FFKM sealing. It includes a YAG prism and 7 discrete LEDs with fixed wavelengths (400, 450, 490, 545, 590, 660, 700 nm) with a wavelength accuracy of ± 2 nm. The display is an LCD with 16 x 16 characters, and the operation is facilitated by a 20-key membrane including function keys. Communication interfaces include RS232 C, parallel, and optional USB.

The device complies with European and international Pharmacopoeia, ASTM, ISO, and DIN standards. The measuring head dimensions are 260 x 190 x 220 mm, the control unit is 220 x 110 x 290 mm, and the complete unit weighs 8 kg.
