Specifications The ATR-P Refractometer measures Refractive Index (RI) and Sucrose (%Brix) with up to 1000 freely definable scales. It has a measuring range of 1.32000 - 1.54000 RI / 100% Brix, a resolution of 0.00001 RI / 0.01% Brix, and precision of ± 0.00002 RI / ± 0.02% Brix. The device operates within an ambient temperature of +10° to +40°C and features automatic temperature compensation from +5° to +50°C. Temperature is measured using an NTC sensor, and control is achieved via an external water bath.
Design and Operation The refractometer features a sapphire prism and an LED light source with a 589 nm wavelength. It includes a 7" touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixels and 16-bit colors. Operation can be conducted via touchscreen, keyboard, mouse, barcode reader, or remotely via PC. Interfaces include RS232 C serial, USB, and Ethernet connections.
Conformity and Highlights The device conforms to international standards such as International Pharmacopoeia, ASTM, AOAC, DIN, FDA, and ICUMSA. Key features include a robust stainless steel measuring head, high performance and accuracy, continuous measurement, easy calibration, and full traceability of records. It supports GLP/GMP and is 21 CFR part 11 ready.
Applications The ATR-P Refractometer is versatile, used for determining refractive index, dry substance, mass percent, and Brix measurement with automatic temperature compensation. It is applicable in qualitative and quantitative analysis of dissolved solids, sugars, and other substances. Typical applications include the sugar industry, beverages, and food products.
Physical Specifications The measuring head weighs 4.5 kg with dimensions of 200 x 160 x 135 mm, while the L-Display weighs 3.0 kg with dimensions of 240 x 190 x 150 mm.
