gigasept® AF forte is an aldehyde-free preparation for cleaning and disinfection of rigid and flexible endoscopes as well as surgical instruments. gigasept® AF forte Our plus: aldehyde-free suitable for flexible and rigid endoscopes shortened action time in ultrasonic baths patented substance combination Application areas Cleaning and disinfection of flexible and rigid endoscopes, surgical instruments, anaesthesia equipment and breathing masks. Instructions for use gigasept® AF forte is a concentrated product and is diluted with cold water to the desired working concentration. Reprocess flexible endoscopes with an application concentration of no more than 2%! Dosage: Depending on the degree of effectiveness 0.5 % – 5 %. Application example: 1 litre of a 5 % working solution corresponds to 950 ml of water and 50 ml of gigasept® AF forte. Immerse instruments to be reprocessed into the gigasept® AF forte solution immediately after use. Make sure that all surfaces are completed wetted and allow them to soak in the solution. Submerge instruments with a hollow body such that the air can fully escape from the lumen. After use, thoroughly rinse/flush the instruments with water that has at least drinking water quality, or better yet with sterile distilled or demineralised water, to remove any residues of the working solution. Do not exceed indicated contact times and concentrations. Please note the treatment recommendations provided by the instrument manufacturers. National regulations may require that cleaning and disinfection are carried out in two separate process steps. Not suitable for the final disinfection of semi-critical and critical medical devices! Standing time: A standing time of 7 days applies if the working solution is only used for the disinfection of previously cleaned instruments. If the working solution is used for cleaning, national regulations may limit the timespan during which the solution may be used.
