Company Overview: Sensus Healthcare is a medical device company specializing in non-invasive treatments for oncological and non-oncological conditions using its proprietary superficial radiation therapy (SRT) technology. The company offers systems like SRT-100™, SRT-100+™, and SRT-100 Vision™ for treating non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSC) and keloids.
Treatment Options:
  • Mohs Surgery: An invasive procedure requiring skilled surgeons, often resulting in poor cosmetic outcomes and higher risks for patients with preexisting conditions.
  • SRT Treatment: A non-invasive alternative with comparable cure rates to Mohs surgery, no anesthesia, and no lifestyle impact. It is ideal for challenging body sites and offers lower healthcare costs.
Market and Growth Strategy: Sensus operates in a large U.S. market with opportunities abroad. The company plans to expand its U.S. operations and international markets, particularly in Latin America and Asia. Sensus is also broadening SRT indications to include other skin conditions and has introduced a leasing program to improve customer ROI.
Financial Performance: In 2021, Sensus reported a net income of $4.1 million on revenues of $27.0 million. The company has a strong cash position and a $3.0 million share repurchase program.
Keloids Market: Keloids represent a potentially larger market than NMSC. Sensus has received clearance for keloid treatment in China, and recent studies show a significant reduction in recurrence rates when combining surgery with SRT.
Technology and Products: Sensus offers the SRT-100 Vision™, a state-of-the-art, image-guided SRT platform, and the TransDermal Infusion System™ for needle-free delivery of aesthetic medicines. The company is also expanding its product portfolio with new aesthetic dermatology offerings.
Conclusion: Sensus Healthcare is positioned for growth with its innovative SRT technology, expanding market presence, and strong financial performance. The company aims to increase awareness of its treatments and expand its product offerings to capture a larger share of the dermatology market.
