The method The use of PETIA (Particle-Enhanced Turbidimetric ImmunoAssay) technology allows for an accurate and reproducible quantitative measurement of Cystatin C in serum and plasma. The latex particles coated with antibodies against human Cystatin C, when mixed with a sample containing human Cystatin C, develop an agglutination reaction with a variation in absorbance due to the formation of an immunocomplex which is proportional to the concentration of human Cystatin C present in the sample.
