Canine influenza (known as dog flu) is a contagious respiratory disease (e.g. pneumonia) in dogs caused by specific Type A influenza viruses. The symptoms of this disease in dogs are cough, runny nose, eye discharge, fever, lethargy, and reduced appetite, but not all dogs will show signs of illness. As the canine influenza virus (CIV) is rapidly transmitted between dogs, immediate diagnosis is essential. RIDX™ CIV Ag Test Kit is a diagnostic reagent that can quickly and easily detect CIV antigen in canine nasal or pharyngeal secretions within 10 minutes after dropping the sample.
