Product catalog summary
Overview: The 2824HR is a dynamic X-ray detector designed for industrial non-destructive testing (NDT), pathology, and CT applications, featuring a 50 μm pixel pitch and high-resolution CsI or Gadox scintillator. It utilizes a high-resolution CMOS sensor with 14-bit digital outputs and offers two gain modes for high dynamic range or high sensitivity, suitable for low dose, real-time imaging.
Design and Features: The sensor is bonded to a fibre optic plate (FOP) for enhanced image quality and radiation tolerance. The detector housing includes lead shielding for radiation protection. It supports a Camera Link interface for 12 fps at full resolution and a 10 GigE interface for 22 fps. A high-speed USB interface is available for rapid integration.
Developer Support: A Windows-based SDK is provided, including DLLs for Windows x64, with C++ and .NET wrappers for software integration. Library functions include dark subtraction, gain correction, and defect correction, with example code and a simple GUI. The SDK supports Camera Link, 5 GigE, and USB 3.0 communications.
Key Features: Fast, low noise imaging with minimal lag, CMOS sensor bonded to FOP, high sensitivity and dynamic range modes, high-speed flexible region of interest, and choice of high-resolution/high-sensitivity CsI scintillator.
Technical Specifications:
  • Sensor: Pixel size of 50 µm, sensitive area of 280.3 × 240.0 mm², pixel matrix of 5608 × 4800.
  • Frame Rate: Full resolution at 22 fps.
  • Image Performance: Dynamic range of 70 in high sensitivity mode and 74 in high dynamic range mode, with a 14-bit depth and max energy of 225 kV.
  • Scintillator Options: High efficiency CsI, high resolution CsI, and various Gadox screens.
  • Mechanical: Weight of 10 kg with 3 mm FOP, dimensions of 315.0 × 316.5 × 53.0 mm³.
  • Communications: Camera Link Full at 75 Mpixel/s, 10 GigE, high-speed USB 3.0, with continuous, software, and external trigger modes.
  • Power: Supply of 12 to 24 V, max dissipation of 22 W.
  • Temperature Range: Operating range from +5 °C to +40 °C, storage range from -20 °C to +55 °C.
