Are your instruments safe to use? STILLE has manufactured surgical instruments of the absoutely best quality since 1841. Still today, just like l 175 years ago, the instruments are mainly manufactured by hand, all the way from forging to shaping, grinding, polishing and adjustment. Probably nobody knows better than STILLE what characterizes an instrument of good quality and endurance, or how correct maintenance can increase its life expectancy and contribute to better patient safety. Correct maintenance and care drastically increases the instrument’s life expectancy. By taking good care of the instruments, the clinic can use their precious instruments longer, transforming the investments in expensive instruments to better long term economy. We categorize the instruments in three groups; 1. Instruments that are in good shape and safe to use without any remedy. 2. Instruments that are in need for service. These instruments are marked to enable sending for service following a schedule that matches the clinic’s operations. 3. Instruments that are not safe to use and need to be replaced. These are specifically marked and put aside. Following to the instrument audit, you will receive a written report with exact numbers of each category as well as recommendations how to treat the instruments to avoid problems as we can see during the audit. We can assist you with a professional instrument audit, made by one of our skilled instrument makers with many years of experience. Surgical instruments are affected by age, usage and handling.
