ALARM SYSTEMS S100 AND S100-1 MODEL 20 ALARM SYSTEMS S100 AND S100-1 MODEL The SINTESY.eagle.S100 module is a medical device used to control alarms in medical gas distribution systems. It complies with Directive 93/42/EEC and 2007/47/EC, identified in Class IIb according to the requirements of Annex IX, rule 9 and meets also the requirements in the standard EN7396-1. For each input it is possible to set the indication that appears during the alarm condition. The version S100-1 accepts the inductive sensors type NAMUR, used to control the status of valves of the plants (close/open). The front panel has the acoustic and visual signals complying with EN60601-1-8: a yellow light that indicates a medium priority alarm, a red light to indicate a high priority alarm and a buzzer. The acoustic signal can be silenced by the operator for a programmable time (max. 15 minutes) or in permanent way. The module S100 is able to store the last 300 events (alarms on and off, muting, power on, etc...) with date and time. In this way it is possible to investigate the history of the plant. Each input can be programmed as alarm or simple status to be shown on the display. The typical application is the control of the pressure in pipeline systems with medical gases. It can operate as stand-alone device or as part of a network of other modules connected on the RS485 bus.Through this communication port, the S100 module can be controlled by a supervisory system SINTESY.eagle® that, through a synoptic chart, displays the status of all the sensors of the system. By using the S200.smart terminal, it is also possible to remotely monitor the status of alarms. The alarm outputs can be connected to the SINTESY.eagle.S140 telephone dialer so that phone calls, SMS and/or e-mails can be dispatched to preset users. Thanks to the SINTESY.eagle.wizard software, using a standard PC, it is possible to program all the available functions. Moreover, it is possible to archive the configuration of a single module S100, or of the whole plant, increasing the efficiency in case of reprogramming and achieving a better traceability of installed modules.
