High-throughput detection of SARS-CoV-2

Product catalog summary
Product Overview: The SmartChip Real-Time RT-PCR SARS-CoV-2 Reagents are designed for high-throughput qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acids in nasopharyngeal swab samples. These reagents are intended for research use only and are not suitable for diagnostic procedures.
Specifications: The kit is used with the SmartChip Real-Time PCR System (Cat. # 640022) and includes enough reagents for one chip run with 378 samples and 6 controls. The assay has a high sensitivity with a limit of detection at 16 copies/µl, a positive percent agreement of 96.7%, and a negative percent agreement (specificity) of 100%. There is no significant cross-reactivity with related pathogens.
Assay Workflow: The system allows for processing up to 768 samples per day, offering significant cost savings with nanoliter-scale reactions. The assay does not require a separate preamplification step, enhancing throughput and turnaround time.
Additional Information: For detailed storage conditions, product components, and technical specifications, users are advised to consult the product's Certificate of Analysis and Kit Components List available under the Documents tab on the Takara Bio website.

High-throughput detection of SARS-CoV-2-1

High-throughput detection of SARS-CoV-2 NOTE: The products featured here are for Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostics procedures. The SmartChip Real-Time RT-PCR SARS-CoV-2 Reagents can be combined with primers specific to SARS-CoV-2 to perform qualitative, high-throughput detection of viral RNA in upper respiratory samples using the SmartChip Real-Time PCR System. The resulting assay detects low copies of SARS-CoV-2 RNA, generally present in upper respiratory specimens during infection by the virus. High-sensitivity (limit of detection): 16 copies/µl Positive percent agreement: 96.7% Negative percent agreement (specificity): 100% Cross-reactivity: no significant cross-reactivity with related pathogens, or pathogens and normal flora likely to be found in similar samples SmartChip® Real-Time RT-PCR SARS-CoV-2 Reagents NOTE: The SmartChip Real-Time RT-PCR SARS-CoV-2 Reagents are for Research Use Only.
