Specific IgE ImmunoCAP Specific IgE provides quantitative measurements of IgE antibodies in human serum or plasma. Specific IgE antibodies appear as a result of exposure to allergens and define sensitization to an allergen. The presence of specific IgE antibodies is useful to identify the allergens that elicit symptoms and signs of allergy in patients with respiratory allergic diseases including asthma, food allergy, and anaphylactic sensitivity.
