Arthrys is a novel medical device utilizing low molecular weight collagen peptides (LWPs) for intra-articular treatment of osteoarthritis. It is designed to strengthen connective tissues and improve joint function without viscosupplementation.
Arthrys directly targets the cartilage extracellular matrix, promoting the synthesis of type II collagen and other matrix components. It inhibits lytic processes, reducing inflammation and catabolic degeneration.
The formulation includes magnesium and vitamin C to protect peptides from oxidation. LWPs are derived from collagen hydrolysis, purified, and filtered for effective joint reinforcement.
- Arthrys 2: 2 mg/ml LWPs, requires three treatments (days 1, 15, 45) for joints; two treatments (days 1, 10) for tendons and ligaments.
- Arthrys 5: 5 mg/ml LWPs, single treatment for both joints and tendons/ligaments.
