Product catalog summary
Product Overview
TissuePatch™ is a synthetic, self-adhesive surgical sealant designed to prevent air leaks during surgical procedures. It adheres to tissue, seals effectively, and is absorbed by the body. A reusable delivery device is available for Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS) applications.
Clinical Publications
An initial experience with TissuePatch3 in VATS lung volume reduction surgery was presented at the 19th European Conference on General Thoracic Surgery in 2011.
Performance and Testing
Bench testing adapted from ASTM F2392 demonstrates exceptional strength for air leak prevention. TissuePatch shows superior mean burst pressure compared to other sealants like Fibrin Sealant, CoSeal, and Tachosil.
Ordering Information
TissuePatch is available in various sizes, including TP-01 (50 x 25mm) to TP-06 (30 x 80mm, 4 pack). Accessories include TIS-03 Grasper, TML-GR-13 Loading Tube, and TIS-04 VATS Instrument Tray.
Clinical Evidence
A single-center study showed that TissuePatch reduces hospital stay for patients undergoing VATS LVRS.
