The tubing has been cut to specific length so that it dictates the arrangement of the tubing and connectors. ■ If you have a custom order with the optional coronary arteries, the necessary branching/valving for the tubing has already been implemented. ■ Attach the secondary tubes to the Phantom using the quick connect tabs provided. ■ Attach the blue coded PHANTOM INLET (venous loop) to the PUMP OUTLET using the primary venous tubing of the pump. ■ The blue coded...

TO-A04 | User Manual 8.2 Disconnecting the Heart Pump and Storing the Phantom ■ To disconnect the tubes from the phantom, gently press the quick connect adapters and pull the extension tube out. ■ Tilt the phantom to allow the water to flow out. ■ Make sure the phantom is dry before storing it. Storing water in the phantom for long periods of time (over 2 weeks) can result in discoloration.

Attach the tube to the phantom using the quick connect tab provided (The trachea opening). Lung pump connection point Please refer to the Lung Pump’s Manual for Details about how to connect the extension tubing to the pump and how to operate the pump. This single outlet will be used to simulate the “inhaling” and “exhaling” motions of the lungs

TO-A04 | User Manual ■ The phantom is fabricated based on the anatomy of a real human, and it can be scanned in supine, prone, and lateral positions; more importantly, scanning can be performed from multiple directions. ■ For ultrasound applications, this phantom can be scanned either with or without the ultrasonic gel. To get clearer images, we recommend applying a little gel to the area before scanning.
