It is anatomically accurate, extending from the neck to the pelvic area, and includes essential organs made from urethane-based tissue-mimicking materials and bones from a ceramic-reinforced epoxy composite. The phantom supports Iodine-based and Microbubble contrast mediums and includes a heart pump for realistic cardiac motion and a lung pump for breathing motion.
Anatomy
The phantom includes a complete spine, ribcage, shoulders, clavicles, pelvis, partial femoral bones, trachea, heart with ventricles, aorta, jugular vessels, lungs, diaphragm, liver, gallbladder, stomach, kidneys, spleen, pancreas, intestines, bladder, and prostate.
Beating Heart Features
The heart model features cyclic motion, water-fillable chambers, adjustable heart rate (20-140 BPM), stroke volume (40-150 ml), and is available in 220 V or 110 V. It includes a user-friendly interface with a touchscreen display.
Breathable Lungs Features
The lungs support up to 60 breathing cycles per minute with volume adjustments in 1 mL increments, providing approximately 1 liter of total air volume. It also includes a user-friendly interface with a touchscreen display.
Components Included
The package includes the adult torso, secondary tubes, optional lung and heart pumps.
Usage Instructions
Instructions are provided for connecting and disconnecting the heart and lung pumps, including storage guidelines to prevent discoloration.
Scanning Capabilities
The phantom can be scanned in various positions and is compatible with ultrasound, CT, and MRI. It can be scanned with or without contrast mediums, and specific instructions are provided for using and flushing contrast mediums.
Technical Properties
Details on sound velocity, density, attenuation, hardness, and HU values for different tissues are provided. Thermal properties of bone-mimicking tissue are also included.
Materials
Soft tissues are made from urethane-based resin, and synthetic bones are made from a ceramic-reinforced epoxy composite.
Size and Weight
The phantom and its components have specific dimensions and weights, with the entire shipment placed on a wooden pallet.
Order Contents
The order includes the dynamic phantom, optional pumps, user manual, assembly instructions, a 2-year warranty, and unlimited customer service.
Handling Instructions
  • The phantom is designed from CT scans of a real human body and can be scanned using standard protocols for positioning a real person.
  • It can be positioned horizontally or vertically for scanning, and anterior, lateral, and posterior techniques are applicable.
  • When relocating the phantom, use a stretcher or wheeled table instead of carrying it manually.
  • Experiments can be conducted in a sunny lab, but prolonged exposure to direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent discoloration.
  • When not in use, store the phantom in a dry, dark place or cover it with a plastic sheet/foil.
  • Refer to pump manuals for specific operating and handling instructions.
Storage
  • The phantom is made from urethane-based material and should be shielded from intense UV light exposure.
  • It should be used and stored within a temperature range of 10°C to 63°C (50°F to 145.4°F).
  • Refer to pump manuals for storage instructions.
Cleaning
  • The phantom is water-resistant and can be cleaned with water or soapy water.
  • It is resistant to chemicals, but stronger solvents should be tested on a small area first, such as the bottom of the neck or legs.
  • If no visible effect occurs after a few hours, the solvent is safe for use on the entire phantom. Otherwise, avoid the solvent or contact the manufacturer for alternatives.
  • Refer to pump manuals for cleaning instructions.
