Design
The phantom is designed with realistic anatomical features and can be used with optional heart and lung pumps.
Components Included
The package includes the adult torso, secondary tubes, and optional lung and heart pumps.
Using a Heart Pump
Instructions for connecting and disconnecting the heart pump are provided, emphasizing the use of quick connect tabs and proper storage to prevent discoloration.
Using a Lung Pump
Similar instructions are provided for the lung pump, with emphasis on careful handling to avoid damage.
Complete Assembled Phantom
The assembled phantom should be configured as specified in the manual.
Scanning the Phantom
The phantom can be scanned in various positions and is compatible with ultrasound, MRI, and CT applications. It supports catheter insertions with additional adapters.
Using Contrast Medium/Water
Compatible with several contrast mediums, the phantom requires thorough flushing and drying post-scanning to prevent discoloration.
Technical Properties
Details on sound velocity, density, attenuation, hardness, and T2 values for different tissues are provided, along with thermal properties and HU values.
Phantom Materials
Soft tissues are made from urethane-based resin, and bones from a ceramic-reinforced epoxy composite.
Size and Weight
Dimensions and weights for the phantom and pumps are specified, including packaging details.
Included In Order
The order includes the phantom, optional pumps, user manual, warranty, and a hard carry case.
Handling Instructions
Guidelines for scanning, moving, and storing the phantom are provided to ensure longevity and prevent damage.
Storage
The phantom is constructed from urethane-based material and must be shielded from direct exposure to intense UV light. It should be stored and used within a temperature range of 10°C to 63°C (50°F to 145.4°F). For specific storage instructions related to pumps, refer to their respective manuals.
Cleaning
The phantom is water-resistant and can be cleaned with water or soapy water. It is also resistant to chemicals, but caution is advised when using stronger solvents. A small test should be conducted on a less visible area to ensure no adverse effects occur. If no damage is observed, the solvent can be used on the entire phantom. Otherwise, avoid the solvent or contact the manufacturer for alternatives. Refer to pump manuals for their cleaning instructions.
