Product catalog summary

Description: The Adult Thorax Phantom is designed for X-Ray CT, Ultrasound, and MRI applications, replicating average human anatomy with a realistic skeleton made from patented bone material. It is suitable for medical imaging research, radiology training, and equipment testing. The phantom features customizable lungs to simulate various pathologies and realistic T2 relaxation times for MRI imaging.

Anatomy: The phantom includes a spine with a porous inner structure (C1-C7, T1-T12, L1-L2), a complete ribcage, shoulders, clavicles, trachea, heart, and lungs with major vessels.

Design: The manual provides multiple views of the phantom, including front, perspective, lateral, and top views.

Technical Properties: The phantom's tissues have specific sound velocity, density, attenuation, hardness, and T2 values. It includes organs with and without speckles and mimics both trabecular and cortical bone properties. Thermal properties of bone-mimicking tissue are also detailed.

Materials Used: Soft tissues and organs are made from a urethane-based soft resin, while synthetic bones are composed of a patented ceramic-reinforced epoxy-based composite material.

Size and Weight: The phantom measures 18 x 10 x 18 inches and weighs approximately 58 lbs. The shipment size is 32 x 23 x 13 inches, weighing about 90 lbs.

Included In Order: The package includes the Adult Thorax Phantom, a user manual/assembly instructions, a 2-year warranty, unlimited customer service, and a hard carry case.

Handling Instructions: The phantom can be scanned using standard protocols and positioned horizontally or vertically. It supports anterior, lateral, and posterior techniques.

Storage and Handling: The phantom should be protected from intense UV light and stored in a dry, dark place when not in use.

Cleaning: The phantom is water-resistant and can be cleaned with water or soapy water. It is resistant to chemicals, but testing is recommended before using strong solvents.

TRUE PHANTOM SOLUTIONS INC. TX-A01 | User Manual • The phantom is water-resistant and can be cleaned after use. It is ideal for cleaning it either with water or with soapy water. It is also quite resistant to chemicals, but if stronger solvents are meant to be used with the phantom, we recommend doing a small test on the bottom part of the neck or legs. The phantom should be placed on its belly, and the chosen solvent can be applied on a small, selected surface of the phantom for a few hours. If there is no visible effect on the phantom's surface, it is safe to assume that the phantom is resistant...
