Product catalog summary
Description
The newborn torso phantom is designed to mimic an average newborn torso using realistic tissue-mimicking materials. It is suitable for Ultrasound and X-Ray/CT imaging, featuring a water-fillable umbilical cord and bladder for catheterization training. Developed with experts from the University of Calgary, it supports sonographic clinical assessments.

Anatomy
The phantom includes anatomical features such as the heart, aorta, inferior vena cava, liver, and realistic body tissue, with water-fillable components for training purposes.

Design
The phantom is available in multiple views: front, perspective, lateral, and top, to aid in comprehensive training and imaging.

Technical Properties
The phantom's tissues have specific sound velocity, density, hardness, and attenuation properties. Organs with speckles, like the liver and kidneys, have variable attenuation, while others do not. HU values for tissue types range from -25 for body tissue to 110 for the liver.

Materials Used
The phantom is composed of urethane-based soft resin, simulating soft tissue and organs.

Size and Weight
The phantom measures 6 x 5 x 9 inches and weighs approximately 4 lbs. The shipment size is 16 x 12 x 10 inches, weighing around 8 lbs.

Included In Order
The package includes a transparent newborn torso phantom, user manual, 2-year warranty, unlimited customer service, and a hard carry case.

Handling Instructions
The phantom can be scanned in various positions and techniques, similar to a real human body. It should be protected from intense UV light and stored in a dry, dark place when not in use.

Cleaning
The phantom is water-resistant and can be cleaned with water or soapy water. It is resistant to chemicals, but testing is recommended before using strong solvents.

TRUE PHANTOM SOLUTIONS INC. US-S02 | User Manual • The phantom is water-resistant and can be cleaned after use. It is ideal for cleaning it either with water or with soapy water. It is also quite resistant to chemicals, but if stronger solvents are meant to be used with the phantom, we recommend doing a small test on the bottom part of the neck or legs. The phantom should be placed on its belly, and the chosen solvent can be applied on a small, selected surface of the phantom for a few hours. If there is no visible effect on the phantom's surface, it is safe to assume that the phantom is resistant...
