High-Level Disinfection of Probes by Use of UVC The unit includes automated disinfection units for external and endocavitary ultrasound probes. A true alternative to chemical soaking, these automated units provide simple, rapid, reliable and ecological disinfection of the probe between each patient. Ultra-Fast: An ILD (intermediate level disinfection) is performed in 90 sec and an HLD (high level disinfection) in 200 sec, after which the probe is ready to be used again. The disinfection process immobilises the probe for less than 2 minutes, which is the time necessary to change the drapes and take the patient back to the changing cabin. Reliability: The automated unit guarantees the efficacy of the disinfection: each disinfection is automatically validated by an accurate measurement of the dose received by the probe. At the end of the cycle, the system signals the status of the disinfection on the control panel and on the various traceability reports.
