Ensure a snug fit and that there is no air leakage. This can be done by tightening the screw for the pressure gauge and checking for inflation of the pressure cuff. Upon completing the assembling, the Achievo Core Stability Trainer is ready for use. It can be stored with the parts assembled. • Place the Achievo Exercise Core Stability Pressure cuff between the part of the body (Lower back, neck, abdomen) and a firm surface...
Open the catalog to page 6APPLICATION IN SPECIFIC MUSCLE TESTING The deep musculature in the lumbar spine wraps all the way around midsection torso, forming a natural ‘corset’ to stabilize the lumbopelvic region including the lumbar segments and sacroiliac joints. It also stabilizes the cervical spinal region. In the presence of back pain, this deep muscle in the lower back has weakness and delayed action whereas larger, more superficial muscles such as rectus abdominus and obliques (six pack muscles) are often overactive. Targeted, testing and training of the deep muscles along with specific exercises paired whilst...
Open the catalog to page 7TRAINING THE CORSET ACTION OF TRANSVERSUS ABDOMINIS IN SUPINE • Lie supine with knees bent to 90 degrees and feet flat. • Place the Pressure Cuff under the lumbar spine. Inflate it to a baseline of 40 mm Hg. • Attain a neutral spine position (midway between fully arched back and flat on the floor) • Contract the transverse abdominus muscle by drawing belly button in and away from your pubic bone without moving your upper abdominals or pelvis. It is easier to perform the contraction whilst breathing out. • Continue to breathe normally. • Check the hold time when a good contraction is...

Open the catalog to page 9ACHIEVO EXERCISE CORE STABILITY TRAINER is used to monitor proximal trunk stability to detect substitution for the tested muscle’s action. GLUTEUS MAXIMUS • Lie prone, place the Pressure Cuff under the abdomen. Inflate it to a baseline of 70 mm Hg • Draw abdominal wall up and in without moving the spine or pelvis. • Contract transverse abdominus muscle by drawing belly button in and away from your pubic bone without moving your upper abdominals or pelvis. • Check the hold time when a good contraction is obtained maintaining baseline pressure. • Extend hip by lifting knee up slightly off the...
Open the catalog to page 10TRAINING OF THE DEEP CERVICAL NECK FLEXORS • Place the folded stabilizer under the neck, securing it with pressure studs, ensuring it touches the occiput. Make sure it doesn’t slip down to the lower cervical area. • Inflate the device to a starting pressure of 20 mmHg, Note: Do not inflate the Stabilizer before positioning it behind the neck. To ensure even air distribution in all the pressure cells, it can be helpful to gently squeeze the pressure bag. Reinflate as needed and repeat the gentle squeezing process. • Instruct the patient to perform a gentle nodding motion with the head,...
Open the catalog to page 11ACHIEVO Exercise CORE STABILITY TRAINER ACHIEVO EXERCISE CORE STABILITY TRAINER is designed to provide real-time feedback to the user of the instantaneous pressure measurements taken from the patient during the rehabilitation exercise. With this real-time feedback information, both the patient and the physiotherapist can monitor if the exercise is carried out correctly and make any necessary adjustment. An individual can also work on breathing techniques and exercises whilst utilising the ACHIEVO EXERCISE CORE STABILITY TRAINER to ensure that they are not holding their breath...
Open the catalog to page 12INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLD STABILIZER (TRAINING OF THE CERVICAL DEEP NECK FLEXORS) Lay out the ACHIEVO pressure cuff flat. Ensure that the side without any logo is facing up. Begin by folding one side of the pressure cuff towards the middle as shown in the picture . Proceed to fold the other end of the pressure cuff over the middle as well, layering over the other end that was folded before. Ensure that the buttons are aligned one over the other. Fold one end of the button down and proceed to clip the buttons together. Complete this for both ends of the pressure cuff. Once the buttons are...
