va-Q-shield VIP C

Product catalog summary
Product Description: The va-Q-shield VIP C is a microporous insulation material made from fumed silica, enhanced with a protective fabric for increased fire resistance. It features unique rectangular edges and corners, allowing seamless joining of panels. Standard shapes are rectangular, but custom shapes are available upon request.
Features: The product offers increased usable space due to its thin insulation, smooth edges without foil overlaps, and is available in various standard sizes. It meets fire protection class B-s1, d0 according to EN 13501-1, has a long lifespan due to optimized design, and undergoes 100% quality control with a patented gas pressure measurement system. The core material is recyclable.
Properties: The initial thermal conductivity at 10°C is ≤ 0.0043 W/(m∙K) for thicknesses ≥ 20 mm. The design value, including aging and edge effects, is 0.007 W/(m∙K). The U-Value ranges from 0.22 to 0.35 W/(m²∙K) depending on thickness. The product withstands temperatures from -75 to 80°C, with temporary resistance up to 120°C, and relative humidity from 0 to 70% up to 50°C. It has a compressive strength of ≥ 150 kPa and a tensile strength of ≥ 30 kPa.
Testing Standards: The panels undergo accelerated aging tests, thermal conductivity measurements, long-term monitoring, and fire protection tests. Measurements include length- and point-related heat transition coefficients.
Legal Notes/Disclaimer: The va-Q-shield VIP C is a new development pending German technical approval. Usage before approval requires project-related approval from the relevant building inspection authority. The data provided are based on laboratory conditions and are nonbinding. Users must ensure product suitability for their purposes through their own tests. The document is subject to change, and the latest version is available on the company's website.

Technical Data Sheet va-Q-shield VIP C Product Description va-Q-shield VIP C is a microporous insulation material based on fumed silica. In addition, it is provided with a special protective fabric, which results in higher fire resistance. va-Q-shield VIP C elements are unique because of their rectangular edges and corners (va-Q-seam) whereas individual elements can be joined together almost seamlessly. In general rectangular panels are produced but various shapes (trapeze, triangle, corner section) are possible on request. Enhanced usable room area due to thinner insulation material Smooth edges and no foil overlaps due to patented va-Q-seam technology Various standard sizes on stock fire protection class B-s1, d0 according to EN 13501-1 Long lifetime due to optimized panel design 100 % quality control with the patented gas pressure measurement system (va-Q-check) Sustainable product (recyclable core material)
