VECTOR ELECTRONIC WAXER PART NO.10150 Vector Electronic Waxer Control Unit (PN 1141) Waxer Spatula (PN 1140) Waxer Spatula Cord (PN 1142) Power Adapter, 115VAC (97808) Small PKT Waxer Tip (PN 97801) ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS for VANIMAN VECTOR 1. Plug double ended spatula cord into the spatula and into the front of the Vector control unit. 2. Plug the power adapter into a 115VAC wall socket and the cord end into the back of the Vector control unit. 3. Place the waxer tip on the heater end of the spatula making sure the heater tube is clean and the tip slides on easily. Press on lightly so that the tip engages the black “high-temp” resin sleeve enough to hold the tip in place. With use, wax may get in between the tip and heater tube, dry out and burn on, causing the tip to seize onto the heater tube. To prevent this, every several hours of operation remove and clean the heater tube to insure that the tip does not seize onto the heater tube. If the tip becomes loose, pinch (gently with pliers) the end of the tip to close the slot. 4. Place the spatula in the rest provided. The handpiece may be inserted from the side or top. Slide the spatula heater end all the way in until the handle stops against the rest. 1. Turn the Vector on by pressing the I/O button and releasing. The red I/O light on the button should light. 2. Press the preset button 1 and release. The green light on the button will light. The temperature shown on the display is the temperature stored in memory for preset button 1 . The control unit will automatically adjust the heater to this preset temperature and hold it there. 3. The arrow buttons raise and lower the temperature setting. Try raising and lowering the temperature setting. Notice that when you stop adjusting the temperature, this will be the new set point of preset 1 . In this same way, you may set the desired temperatures for each of the four preset buttons for use in different waxing procedures. 4. To switch the display reading temperature in Fahrenheit (F) or Celsius (C), press and hold the I/O button and press the (*) button to switch between F and C. Release the I/O button when your selection is complete. 5. To use the Sensor-Touch feature, press the (*) button, the red light will light, and display will show (----). The Vector is now in the Sensor-Touch mode. The heater will idle at 150°F (65°C). When you touch the gold metal sensor ring at the end of the comfort-zone, the heater will heat rapidly. When you release the touch of the sensor ring, the heater will cool. This will give you the capability of a heating/cooling tip to perform various waxing procedures. Notice that when you touch the sensor ring, the display flashes (---). This indicates that the touch mode is active. Each time the Sensor-Touch feature is activated, there will be a 2-3 second stabilization delay before the sensor ring is activated. The maximum high temperature setting is 500°F (260°C). To Reset the Control Unit, temporarily disconnect the power cord from the control unit and then reconnect it again. 140 N. Brandon
