Technical Datasheet VENA® STEAM Applications It is especially recommended for cleaning operations with saturated steam and hot water wash-down services. The design ensures a good heat-resistance hose structure, making it ideal for dairy industries, creameries and food processing plants for safe operations during hot water, steam cleaning processes and disinfection procedures. Properties Limitations Respect the bending radius and work pressure established values. Mind the chemical compatibility of the fluid with the EPDM. This hose is not recommended to work in vacuum. This product is manufactured with inner white EPDM food quality rubber and outer blue EPDM cover, it is equipped with plies of synthetic cord reinforcements inside the wall of the tube. EPDM rubber produced in compliance with: − Odorless, tasteless and completely non-toxic. White colored and smooth inner appearance, blue colored and smooth outer appearance. Can be equipped with 316L stainless steel fittings on each end with a roughness value of less than 0.8 m (or 0.5 m on request). Operational temperature ranges from -40ºC (-40ºF) to +164ºC (327.2ºF). Available at a maximum length of 40m (131.23 ft). EPDM rubber used is in accordance with EU Directive 2002/95/ECC for Restriction of the use of hazardous substances (RoHS). VENA® STEAM HR: The hose included an embedded stainless steel wire braids. It is advisable to inspect the inner appearance for cracks or swelling, and replacement of the hose, if necessary.
