Product catalog summary
Limitations: Ensure adherence to specified bending radius and working pressure. Verify chemical compatibility of fluids with the inner PFA layer.
Regulations: The inner PFA layer complies with US FDA Standard 21 CFR 177.1550, USP Class VI <88> and <87>, and ISO 10993-5, 10, and 11. The outer silicone layer meets US FDA Standard 21 CFR 177.2600, USP Class VI <88> and <87>, ISO 10993-5, 10, and 11, and European Pharmacopoeia 3.1.9.
Applications: Suitable for transporting liquid or semi-liquid fluids in food, cosmetic, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. The hose is designed for both pressure and vacuum applications, offering a balance of strength and lightness.
Properties: The hose is odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, and highly flexible. It features a conductive inner PFA layer with resistivity below 106Ω, and can be fitted with 316L stainless steel fittings. Operational temperature ranges from -30°C to +150°C, with a maximum length of 20m and vacuum resistance of 0.9 bar.
Technical Specifications: The hose is available in various inner diameters, with consistent wall thickness and working pressure. Bending radius varies by size.
Construction: Features a conductive black inner PFA layer, polyester reinforcements, and encased stainless steel spring wire.
Technical Information for Explosive Atmospheres: The hose is outside the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC scope. Electrical bonding is necessary, and the hose should not be used for explosive materials transport.
Electrical Properties: Classified under ISO 8031:2009 and IEC/TS 60079-32-1:2013. Suitable for certain ATEX zones, with specific risk analysis required.
Use Precautions: Regular checks of end-to-end resistance are recommended. Avoid prolonged friction and ensure the hose is free from flammable products. Inspect for damage before use, and replace if faults are found.

Venaflon® HF-X-1

Technical Datasheet Venaflon® HF-X Applications It is specially recommended for the transport of liquid or semi-liquid fluids in the food, cosmetic, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. This hose present a wide field of application due to its construction which gives it a balance between strength and lightness. The inner layer for this hose is made of PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy) which has a high compatibility with highly aggressive chemicals. This hose is able to transport liquid or semi-liquid food-stuffs by impulsion or suction, since its design can resist either pressure or vacuum. Limitations Respect the bending radius and work pressure established values. Mind the chemical compatibility of the fluid with the inner PFA Regulations The inner layer of PFA is in compliance of: − Odorless, tasteless and completely non-toxic. High flexibility The inner PFA layer of this hose presents a resistivity lower than 106. Black and smooth appearance of the inner layer of PFA, translucent and smooth appearance of the outer silicone layer. Can be equipped with 316L stainless steel fittings on each end with a roughness value of less than 0,8 m (or 0,5 m on request). Upon request it can be equipped with Clamp fittings with a conductive inner cover of PFA. Operational temperature range from -30°C (-22 F) to +150°C (302 F). The hose is manufactured in a maximum length of 20m (65.62 ft). The vacuum resistance is 0.9 bar (13.05 psi). USP Class VI <87> in vitro tests USP Class VI <88> in vivo tests Technical Specifications The outer silicone layer is in compliance of: − USP Class VI <88> in vivo tests USP Class VI <87> in vitro tests Contact your sales office for more informat
