The foam enables the user to make an easier transfer and provides a great sense of stability. Air: The cushion’s rear compartments contain air-filled SmartCells. This part of the cushion provides comfort while sitting and helps to prevent pressure ulcers. Ready for use In 95 % of the cases the cushion is ready to use. In case you want to adapt the filling grade this is possible. Active wheelchair users make full use of their wheelchairs in their everyday life. They also frequently transfer in and out of their wheelchair. To them, a wheelchair cushion has to provide comfort and stability, it has to prevent them from developing pressure ulcers, and all of this at the lowest weight possible… Cleaning Treat light stains by wiping the cushion cover with a damp cloth, using a mild detergent. Difficult spots or stains can be cleaned by first saturating the spot and then using a soft brush to loosen the dirt, or by machine washing the emptied cushion cover at 60 °C. Before washing the cover, remove the SmartCells and foam block from the cover. The SmartCells are placed in three bags (SmartCell liners) to facilitate this. Follow the washing instructions on the label inside the cushion cover. Cover The cover is made from a comfortable, watertight material. It also includes a storage compartment for keys, a wallet or a mobile phone. Two Heights The Academy Active is available in two heights, 6 cm/2.5 inch and 9 cm/3.5 inch. The Active 6 (45x45), including cover, weighs 700 grams and the Active 9 (45x45) weighs 1,100 grams. Vicair® Academy Active Vicair’s solution is the Academy Active.
