To enable foot propulsion, it is possible to adjust the filling grade of one of the front compartments. The Adjuster is a widely applicable seat cushion, developed as a solution for wheelchair users with every sort of body asymmetry. It can be used in cases such as hemiplegia (CVA), amputation and Spina Bifida, or with foot propulsion. Vicair Academy Adjuster This cushion does not only offer great protection against decubitus. The cushion’s compartments make it such an all-round cushion. The rear compartments correct mild to severe asymmetry. In extreme cases of asymmetry it is possible to correct All compartments are separated by slanting seams. Two Heights The Adjuster is available in two heights: 6 cm/2,5 inch and 10 cm/4 inch. The weight of a 45x45 cm Adjuster 6, including cover, is only 500 grams. A 45x45 cm Adjuster 10 weighs only 850 grams. Cleaning Treat light stains by wiping the cushion cover with a damp cloth, using a mild detergent. Difficult spots or stains can be cleaned by first saturating the spot and then using a soft brush to loosen the dirt, or by machine washing the cushion cover at 60 °C. Cover The Adjuster is available with two types of covers: Comfair and Incontinence. The top layer of both covers is two-way-stretchable, to enable optimal immersion of the body into the cushion. The Comfair cover has a breathable top layer, for comfort and to absorb moisture. The Incontinence cover is made of a watertight fabric.
