Hydrogen Peroxide solutions Ready-to-use, PX07 (Amity PX07) and STR7 (Steri-Safe HP) disinfectants are packaged in containers, ready for insertion in TwinCruiser airborne disinfection systems (VGF, VGX and S). They are delivered as a dry mist (aerosolized solution) of Hydrogen Peroxide. Hydrogen Peroxide is an oxidizing agent which kills microorganisms including Multi-Resistant Organisms (MROs). 7.5% conc. MECHANISM & ACTIONS Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2): Hydrogen Peroxide is misted through a venturi nozzle (5 - 8 µm). The H2O2 oxidizing action involves: • Oxidation of the lipidic structures of the membrane; • Production of hypochlorite and radical hydroxyls; • Deterioration of ribosomes and DNA per cytoplasmic penetration. Peroxone (O3 + H2O2): The process involves 2 essential steps : Ozone dilution and hydrogen peroxide addition. There are two major effects from the coupling of the ozone with hydrogen peroxide: • Oxidation efficiency is increased by conversion of ozone molecules to hydroxyl radicals; And • Ozone transfer from the gas phase to the liquid is improved due to an increase in ozone reaction The information provided in this document is non-contractual.
