To do this, connect the charging station with the accompanying power cable to the mains supply and place the handpiece in the designated position. VITA Easyshade® V – First use 5.3 Placement of the infection control shield Before using on the patient, the instrument needs to be cleaned and disinfected properly. Information on cleaning and disinfecting the VITA Easyshade V can be found in section 10. In order to prevent patient cross-infection, you should use a new VITA Easyshade V infection control shield for every patient. VITA Easyshade® V – First use 5.5 Automatic white balance You should only conduct the white balance with a new infection control shield to prevent cross-patient infections. After turning it on, place the instrument in the charging station so that the tip lies flush on the calibration block. Press the measurement button. The VITA Easyshade V recognizes the calibration block and now performs the white balance automatically. The conclusion of the white balance is reported by two short signal tones.
