Chirasorb rapid braided is a braided sterile absorbable surgical suture composed of a copolymer made from 90 % glycolide and 10 % L-lactide. Chirasorb rapid braided is treated with an absorbable synthetic coating consisting of a mixture of equal parts of a copolymer of 30 % glycolide and 70 % lactide and with calcium stearate.
