Specifications
The system features an external lifting unit to prevent contamination from dust on the packaging unit's surface, reducing space requirements, air consumption, and cleaning efforts. It uses a pneumatically inflatable tube seal to secure the port inlet during drum transfer, protecting the drum's outer surface from airborne particles and gases through precise air displacement.

Procedures
Once the packaging unit is transferred, the lid is automatically opened, held by the drum port, and replaced upon closing. The WIBObarrier® air guiding system creates a clean-air curtain, separating the work area from the surrounding environment, ensuring safe retention and product protection up to ISO class 5.

Two models are available: BGKDO 50 and BGKDO 40, with passage widths of 500 mm Ø and 400 mm Ø, respectively. Suitable for drum diameters of 400-470 mm Ø and 300-380 mm Ø. The tube seal inflates in approximately 20-30 seconds, requiring a minimum compressed air operating pressure of 6 bar.

WIBO Drum Port® - High Containment Solution The proven WIBObarrier® system was expanded with a new inward transfer and discharge technology. The special air outlets create a clean-air curtain, which separates the work area from the surrounding area. Depending on the design and customer requirements, a product exposition of < 1 μg/m³ or a protection of the product up to ISO class 5 according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1 can be provided.
