Pin Placement
The first pin is placed freehand perpendicular to the bone's long axis, ensuring the pin diameter does not exceed one-third of the bone diameter. Compression or distraction is achieved by turning the set screw at the distal end of the fixator. For bone lengthening, distraction is divided into ¼ turn increments, with one full turn equating to 1mm of distraction.

Final Steps
After application, cut and cap the protruding ends of the pins. Perform a final check to ensure all components are tightened before completing the surgery.
