Cryo 6

Product catalog summary
Introduction
The Cryo 6 is a skin cooling system designed to minimize pain and thermal injury during laser and dermatological treatments. It provides temporary topical anesthetic relief for injections and can cool the epidermis before, during, and after laser application without interfering with the laser beam.

Study Design and Methods
A study conducted from September 2002 to February 2003 involved 17 patients with facial telangiectasia treated with a flash-lamp pulsed dye laser. The treatment area was divided into three sub-areas: no cooling, cooling to 20°C, and cooling to 17°C. Skin temperature was monitored using an infrared sensor system.

Results
Without cooling, purpura, pain, and clearance were rated medium to high. Cooling to 20°C reduced purpura and pain significantly, with minimal effect on clearance. Cooling to 17°C further reduced purpura and pain, with a slight decrease in clearance. Most patients preferred cooling to 20°C.

Conclusion
Cold air cooling significantly reduces side effects and increases patient satisfaction in dermatological laser therapy. Cooling to 20°C is recommended as a balanced approach.

Technical Specifications
The Cryo 6 features a large display, tactile glass keyboard, and six preset programs. It operates economically with no consumable costs, and its maintenance is straightforward with an easy-to-access air filter. The device is powered by a 220-240 V supply and has a maximum air flow of 1000 l/min.

Cryo 6-2

The skin cooling system designed for superficial laser skin procedures. The Cryo 6 cold air device is intended to minimize pain and thermal injury during laser and dermatological treatments and for temporary topical anesthetic relief for injections. Unlike other cooling methods, such as contact cooling, cryogen spray or ice packs, the Cryo 6 can cool the epidermis before, during and after the laser energy has been applied, without interfering with the laser beam.
