Needles for sternal or iliac crest marrow aspiration, ergonomic handle Illy (PIL) is a disposable device that ensures high reliability performance of medullar aspiration. The needle has an adjustable safety stop that enables to easily settle, thanks also to the centimeter markers on the cannula surface, the length of the cannula and the depth of insertion. The stylet is connected to the handle by a “bayonet” attachment to avoid its movement during the introduction. The needle has a luer-lock that allows the connection to the syringe for a safe and fast aspiration of the bone marrow. The perfect coupling between cannula and stylet enables a safe penetration into the cortical bone. The tip shape is designed to ease the insertion of the needle into the bone, maintaining the mechanic strength. The “T” ergonomic handle offers optimal pressure and a secure grip to facilitate the penetration step into the cortical.
