Blood Collection and Diagnostic Products UriSet 24 ■ Receptacle 500 ml cup enables patient-friendly urine collection and transfer from the urine container into the transport tube. ■ Stabilizer A glass bottle with integral safety dropper contains 9 ml of 20% hydrochloric acid concentration, requiring no additional working steps and providing improved patient safety. The amount and concentration of hydrochloric acid has been dosed to ensure optimal stabilisation of the urine for up to 7 days for the analysis of catecholamines, metane-phrines, homovanillic acid and 5-hydroxyindole-acetic acid. This long-term stability at room temperature enables the collection of urine samples at the laboratory and collective processing per batch. ■ Transport tube or Urine Monovette® Only the enclosed 30 ml tube or Urine Monovette® is transported to the doctor or the laboratory while the urine container is discarded by the patient. The system reduces the waste volume at the doctor’s practice or laboratory. A self-adhesive label for reliable patient identification is enclosed with the transport tube.
