Capri™ Applicator Set CT Compatible Intended for: HDR of the vagina, vaginal stump, and rectum Afterloader: VariSource iX™ / VariSource 200™/ GammaMedplus iX™ / GammaMedplus™/ microSelectron® Digital Modality: HDR The Capri Applicator is used to treat cancer of the vagina, vaginal stump, and rectum. The inflatable design of this multi-lumen applicator allows for conformance of the applicator to patient tissues, reducing air gaps and aiding in applicator immobilization. The thirteen lumens are arranged in two concentric rings (with six lumens each) surrounding a central lumen. This construction allows dose-shaping capability to provide optimal target coverage while reducing dose to normal tissues. Suitable for vaginal and rectal insertions CT Compatible Allows for highly asymmetric dose distributions Lumens are impregnated with a barium sulfate to allow simple catheter detection Inflatable with air or saline Deflated insertion diameter is 2.9cm Variable fill volume allows for a “one size fits all” applicator Internal markers allow for identification of catheters Lumens are externally labeled Soft silicone exterior has no sharp edges for patient comfort Applicator and handle sterile supplied and for single use
